Super Cent Score - 1909VDB!! Plus a bonus '64 JFK!

Scored a '64 Kennedy from $7 in loose halves. I was feeling lucky after that, so I figured I'd try my luck with a couple penny boxes:
Box 1: 13 Wheats (1936, 6x1940s, 6x1950s)
Box 2: 22 Wheats (1909VDB, 1929,3x1930s, 4x1940s, 13x1950s)
I saw the back of it first, and slowly turned it to check for an "S" that turned out to not be there....but i'm still very happy with the plain VDB

That is a Super Cent Score for sure! And great pics too!

The coin looks to be in nice condtion too with a clear VDB (esp considering the coin is(was) still in circulation after 100 years).

I've got about 2 cent boxes left myself to search this weekend and I just found a '35 a few minutes ago and I'm hoping to at least find about 30-40 more wheats including a couple of more pre - '40 wheats. But finding an '09 VDB would truly be a dream wheat cent score of a lifetime.

it is a great feeling isnt it? like you just wana tell somebody... " hey look what i found today haha. Its really what makes this hobby great.. 10 skunk boxes then a nice rare coin that makes up for all your time. congrats on that awesome find..

PS... how long and hard did you look under the date for an S mint mark.. honestly tell me ahaha

Nah, i conceded defeat immediately...but that didn't stop me from taking a quick look with the loupe to make absolutely sure
