SuperShaun's First Buffalo

I went out with TNet member, SuperShaun, yesterday after work. I took him to well worn spot of dirt, that promised nothing more than mosquito bites and can slaw.

To my surprise the grass had been cut and some of the debris moved around, opening up some areas formerly covered with leaves and sticks.

I managed to find a '44 Merc, organ reed, piece of lead, modern quarter and .22 shell casing... and, as usual, a hand full of trash.

SuperShaun is new to the hobby, and just got an AT Pro last week. Well, he found his first buffalo nickel last night. He was just sitting there on the ground looking at it (pic attached). I couldn't help but smile. We will try to find his first silver coin on the next hunt.

He found the buffalo before I found that silver dime... so I was scrambling to find ANYTHING, just so the new guy wouldn't spank me!

I was just trying to feed the mosquitos, and YOU went and found a buffalo nickel... so at that point, I had no choice, I had to find SOMETHING... luckily for me, it was a shiny little coin!
