I decided to hunt a very small park nearby. It isn't very old so I didn't expect much. I got a good signal and dug my plug and quickly found a dime. I checked the hole before filling it in and continued to get signal, by the time I was finished I had pulled out 6 dimes and a quarter all within the first five inches of the surface, but spread out in the hole both wide and deep. What I can't figure out is how this could have happened. None were old, but like I said the park isn't very old. I had really expected to find any change close or on the surface but everything I found was several inches down and generally not in the plug. I think I will go back as soon as I have some time. Any ideas as to how those coins could all have gotten in the same hole but spread out? All I can think of is that someone buried them there.
