Beautiful looking coin. What country is it from?

AlexanderHun, can you tell us a little about your coin find. It looks to be in fantastic shape, would I be wrong in thinking it is fro 1667.

Hi,
Its a beautiful coin but the lettering is off to me, to crisp for a coin of that period... but still a good looking coin or charm...

You are correct, years ago people would wear their coinage around their neck.

Or sew them into their clothing :)

Thanks everyone, I used to be worn clothing, neck, belt as well.

How come Mackaydon has no comment on this one? I'd love to read his opinion...

Looks like the real McCoy, I can't read the coin though because the pic is kinda blurry, awesome silver tho

Hi, dn constantius pf aug, votix xxv multis xxx

Beautiful Denarius! Too bad that it's pierced...still a coin to show! Congrats!

Thanks Germany friend! :)

Because of the strange position of the hole. (Not in the exact top or bottom) it would hang strange as a pendant so... Its was definitely sewn into something, so they would hopefully not lose it... I guess it did not work so well. Haha !!
Very nice find !!
Keep @ it and HH !!

Awesome score !

Hole or no hole, that's a great find:thumbsup:

Its an old hole & it looks great - straight in the collection!
