Surprise metal detector

I got a call from my dad saying he just bought a nice metal detector for $125 bucks
It is a surfmaster 2 with an amphibian 2 coil. He sounded excited telling me and i said to him that he got lucky finding this machine. Then he tells me "i'm not lucky, you're lucky! I bought this for you!" My heart stopped for a second. I coulden't believe it! Just made my day so much better!

I live in nevada and he lives in hawaii. So now im just waiting for it in the mail lol

That's a beach machine. So not sure how much good it's going to do you in Sparks Nevada. Unless you're going to be working swim-lake shores ? And even then, not really necessary on fresh-water beaches. The claim to fame of that pulse is ability to cut through nasty black sand minerals (that is found on some ocean beaches). But don't think any lake beaches suffer this condition. Not that it won't still work, but.... just be prepared that you will have no iron disc. Can't pass nails, pushpins, bobbyclips, paperclips, etc......
