After a day of 6' to 12' waves and wind gusts 50+ mph, I decided to detect a small SW Michigan Beach. This area, like much of Michigan's shoreline, has suffered from massive erosion over last couple of years because of high lake levels.
I found nothing of any value, but I did find this melted piece of metal (nugget?). I apologise that I do not have a weight or volume - I'm away from home. It feels light for it's size, not malleable, non-ferrous. My first guess is aluminum, but I'm not familiar with metals found on beaches in SW Michigan.
