Hi guys, I found it in a roll of dimes, its orientation is like a regular dime(↑↓) but according to

http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces181.html

The Orientation is: coin alignment ↑↑

which is the opposite of dimes, Orientation is: Coin alignment ↑↓

IS numista.com wrong or do I have a rare 1968 clad? anyhow, I'd keep it, its worth $.50 cents or so. I dont think I'd ever afford a Switzerland trip. :icon_pirat:

I wish I could tell ya what you need to know, but I don't know too much about coins :( either way, it's a cool find. I wouldn't mind having one to look at :tongue3:

HH,
Cody.

Cody, wow you have much more finds than I do, totally awesome, I thought I was going nuts already to get the 15 rosies. thanks.

Not by much though! It almost depresses me to read the posts on the forum where people find like 70 40%'ers and 20 90%'ers in 2 boxes of halves. I wish I were THAT lucky haha. Hopefully one day! :icon_pirat:

hopefully the 4 halve boxes tomorrow will bring some luck, otherwise I quit half dollars.

I had a 5 box skunk streak going on halves them I pulled 7 silver from the 6th box. It's all about volume and luck. Keep going at it until you hit bit so I can envy you. Haha.

Dimes aren't much better. I average about 1 a box. It's just way easy to look through the clear plastic, unlike the halves where you have to unwrap and then rewrap them all. Such a pain.

we are kind of off topic but what the hay...my dump bank doesnt take clear plastic rolls, I must use the paper rolls to dump :(, they all give me this funky look when I dump $200 worth of rolls. How do u dump yours?

I found a '70 of that same coin in a bag of dimes. It is Coin alignment ↑↓, not medal alignment ↑↑. It seems numista.com is wrong in the summary, but correct in the body. Summary says medal alignment and includes the icon. The body says coin alignment but omits the icon.

1968 20,000,000 KM#23a.1 (with 22 stars; coin alignment)
1968 B 44,920,000 KM#23a.1 (with 22 stars; coin alignment)
1969 31,400,000 KM#23a.1 (with 22 stars; coin alignment)
1969 B 51,704,000 KM#23a.1 (with 22 stars; coin alignment)
1970 52,620,000 KM#23a.1 (with 22 stars; coin alignment)

Also, I don't believe it is a clad coin like a US dime. I believe it is an alloy (cupronickel) like a US nickel.

Madwest, thank you for the explanation. its still worth 50 cents USD. :)
