Nice looking relics.. unfortunately, the one item isn't a sword hanger but rather a beautiful example of an old swivel off of a harness..That particular style is called a Swedge Swivel.

Very nice hunt. Congrats

Yeah, I suspected it could be something off of a horse bridle or horse tack. But I remembered seeing similar items identified as sword hangers. I think that these might get mis-ID’d a lot.

Yours is a beautiful example of an early one....a stellar find in my line of thinking.

Great relics, sir. What settings did you use to snag the bottles? ;)

Congratualtions on the nice relics! :occasion14:

Nice variety of finds. Congrats

Ha Ha. I was using the new XP Deus Glass extension accessory that I purchased from my dealer. It tells me if there are any cracks or if the glass is broken as well.

The XP Deus solar powered glass probe accessory is still in beta and is supposed to be kept under wraps. Didn't you sign your non-disclosure agreement as a beta tester?

Based on those bottle finds, everyone is going to want one of those accessories now. LOL.

Seriously though, nice intact antique glass. It always amazes me when it comes out unbroken after being buried or simply laying around all those years

Yeah, this site we think used to be a dump. There has been so much dug out of it already. I'm hitting it late in the game, but there so much iron and minerals in the dirt it's impossible to get all of the goods. We are even looking at the place that they will be moving dirt offsite to see if can detect it as well. Awful dirt though. Deus is the right machine. I dug 2 flying eagles at this site a few weeks ago that were totally encrusted in iron growth. I suspected that they were coins, but didn't know what I had until I cracked them open. There are a bunch of much older colonial broken bottles as well. I may just go bottle diving with my new Deus Solar Powered Glass finding accessory. Thanks.

Your killing it!

Yep. The Deus seems to be the ticket in thick modern and ferrous trash. I pulled my scabbard tip out of a modern dump site that was on top of a union regimental winter camp site using the deus in fast pitch mode (disc at 10 and iron volume at 3) and 25 khz with an 11" x35 coil. It was brutal in there, but Deus rewarded me.
