I am being told this is a T. Miller button but I have never seen this variant. Single brass (I think) piece with a large I. Assuming it’s infantry. Can anyone confirm?

Hello? Hello hello.. is there an echo in here, here here. Tough crowd, crowd crowd..

This forum is dead, dead dead..

Hello Rich....life does exist on the forum here. Lol The button you have is typically known as a Confetrit' Cast I Infantry button. A nice looking button indeed. I unfortunately do not have the button book, but there are some here that do. I'm not too familiar with this particular variant, but hopefully someone will come along soon to help you further get an ID on this button. It does look CW period. When you find one of these you know you have a Confetrit' piece. The button looks to be in great shape did you dig this? A Cast I button is still on my bucket list of finds. Congrat's to you on a nice piece of History.

Thanks for your reply since posting this I emailed the Army of Tennessee Relics website. They are confirming it is a T Miller infantry button. I now have two sources confirming it’s T Miller. Definitely a bucket lister and maybe find of a lifetime. Very excited.
