Tag ID needed

Any one know what kind of tag this is,my thoughts are a tool tag or a tele-post marker.Thanks-HH

I find alot of those with numbers, sometimes a few letters and they belonged to hotel room keys from long ago. Although I have not found one with high digits like yours, a hotel room key tag would be my guess. H.H.
