Charlie Wall was the crime boss in Tampa bay from the turn of the century till the 50's when he was beaten to death in his home. The house was built in 1913 & the horse step & tie off is still out front. I received exclusive permission to beep the yard today. I was Hoping for some bullets since he was shot at while in the house or maybe some silver or gold since he was a crime boss. But this is all I found, some clad & a bunch of junk

I'd be happy I didn't find anything buried in the yard. Paging Jimmy Hoffa, paging Jimmy Hoffa...

Keep looking and for gods sake keep quiet about it!

Whenever I do a lot or house I always start at the street easement, around the mailbox, horse post, etc. Then I do around the doors, front & back. After that its straight to where I think the clothes line was 60+ years ago. Then its walk ways, trees, followed by a slow sweep of the yard itself.

There has to be something there. Too bad you can't search inside the house, you might just come up with something grand!

Darn, just having that opportunity is fantastic!

The yard looks big, you needed help, why didn't you call?

like I stated, I have not given up I just did the main areas yesterday and I am doing the main yard today so hopefully there will be something under a shrub or near a step. and you are right just the opportunity was extremely cool ....the entire time there I was just picturing mafia guys from the early 19 hundreds hanging out on the porch or guys driving by shooting at the house, it was pretty cool

LOL

But only keep quiet around the Crime Boss's Ghost :laughing9:

I just recently located one of Schuylkill counties major players during Prohibition.
& am working on getting permission.

Good Luck & keep us Posted.

Thanks Jeff & good luck on your search....... I actually stopped back this morning & hit the easement again. Found a lil more junk, some more clad & an awesome lead seal.

Wow, the lead seal should be traceable.

That is sooooo coooool.... great finds!

By the way, I'm making latex gloves with your fingerprints. So if the cops or the crime family comes knocking.... run.

Now that I think about this more, it doesn't surprise me that you didn't find anything there. What few people I have known of that would be in that kind of business never kept things at their home. Their home was the place most likely to be raided by police or feds, so why keep "evidence" around? No, the ones I knew of kept all their piles of cash (literal) hidden on other properties.

Rumor has it there was an escape tunnel that's never been located. That's what I was hoping to find but I'll take the seal for a starter :-)

How about those shallow buried bodies. :laughing7: That far back, is there a well? How about an outhouse?

I'm not going to lie BosnMate, if I found one I'd check its skeletal fingers for rings before I'd call the authorities :-)

G.I.B. beepen this yard was amazing, just thinking of what may have gone on there boggles my mind. thats one of the best parts as far as I'm concerned. Walking a property, swinging my machine & imagining what took place there. by the way, where are you in Fl?
