I’ve had my ATpro, for over 4 years, and believe it’s probably one of the best machines; in its price range. I’ve found my share of coins, jewelry, and artifacts. Still, I wonder how many rings, or other gold objects I’ve passed over. Most of the gold I’ve found rings up in the low to mid 40s.
It’s all been 10 & 14k. Nickels are most always locked in at 51-52, and there’s no doubting that tone. I, like everyone else, have sent 1,000+ pull tabs to the land fill. I try to dig everything, but I wonder if there’s a way to know gold when you hear it. I use the wiggle method to pinpoint, and generally hit the target, dead on. Aluminum isn’t always there but it’s close. Here’s my question: When YOU hear a pull tab, does it tend to have a chirp at the end of your pinpointing?
