Taxco Bracelet

Picked this up today. I thought it was a good find, but Mexican silver pieces don't seem to be selling for much over melt on ebay. It is 7 3/4" long and weighs 37 grams. I paid $25 for it, so I should make my money back at least.

Taxco/Mexican stuff can be very valuable, depends on the designer or style of the piece. I don't think the market will bear much more than you spent on that piece. That's the type of item I buy all day every day on half-off day. You can murder it on gold and silver at the thrift store on 50% off day.

I did a bit better today. Picked up this necklace for $10. The pendant is sterling, the chain is 14k white gold, 2.5 grams.

If you ever go to Mexico City, have a taxi driver take you to Ciudadela, the market for artisan stuff at local prices, not tourist prices. You can buy all the Taxco jewelry you want. Been there; did that.

Of course, you could also go to Taxco.
