TDI 12" coil vs 10x14 Razorback coil
This is a video that I did to compare the standard 12" DF coil to the mono 10x14" coild made by Razorback.
The ground balance is off so the GB setting does not matter and so too the high or low setting. Gain is on 12. Frequency mid range. All signals will have a high tone. I am using (point) .2 and .2 to .3 gram nuggets in the video. Nuggets that are less than half a gram. I found the depth of both coils to be about the same with maybe an inch going to the mono coil. Pinpointing was easier with the mono coil. Pinpointing with the DF coil is done with the inner coil. The DF coil did prove to be better at detecting small nuggets like I thought that it should as per theory. This is why DF coils are supplied with the PI detectors that Whites sells. ie: the TDI and the DF underwater detector.
