Took the granddaughter to the artifact field with me. She was quick to learn on what to be on the look out for. She, like me picked up any odd "rock", even the tiniest pieces of flint...then the thrill of finding a keeper. Even though broke, it looks to be a knife.
As soon as my grandkids are old enough, you can bet they"ll be going with gramp"s. Time is precious, don"t forget to take out the younger generation. Old digger.
well done River!! if that is her first trip eather a good teacher or a real sharp student oh well could be both. yes looks like it could have started as a knife, stell got my youngest doughter's walking or flipping stick from that age. Terry
That is so cool. I have the first ones I found at a cave in Nick-a-jack Tn. Johnny Cash hunted there all the time as well and actually got drunk and crawled into the cave came out 3 days later sober to never drink again. But what I remember was the chert tools!
