awwwwwww yep it's a tear jerker but the other one...it's not ugly...it be purty! Good finds...did you see any pottery?

A stemmer. I bet you can type that one from the base. This weather is warm isn't it?

Yes I found 1 rim shard. Not real pretty though

By the flaking I would say Late Archaic to Early Woodland. Yes it has been nice weather 60-70 but it was a nasty rainy day here. Always nice to have a rain suit it comes in handy. Its red so it fits in real nice for hunting season.

Thanks Tony it actually has a slight impact fracture at the break and part of an inclusion in the same place. Weak spot
 

These days, I'm happy to find shards! You did fine Rock! And that little gray piece? Not so ugly. I've seen waaay worse;) Yakker
 

I looked the black one up on our states site and it looks to be an Elora Late Archaic to Woodland. Thanks everyone maybe next week I can find a whole one.
