this weekend. Today she told me she thought her friend might have been a bullying victim. I don't know what I'd do..........................

The school let them have a prayer at the flagpole. Then it was back to work. Lots of kids apparently left to go home, though.

Wow.

(My kid is 14)

she will work through it, kids are tougher than we give the credit for
Just be there for her if she want to talk :icon_thumright:

Is the school offering any type of assistance for anyone that may be emotionally disturbed by the incident? I thought it was commonplace nowdays, at least for close friends.

That's tough, and I'm sorry the kids had to be around that. I'm with packerbacker's post. Up here they bring in counselor's if anybody wants to talk to them, and if you don't want to come to school that's fine too and can be worked out. Last week at my grandson's high school we had a young man who went down and later died in the hospital, due to a medical condition. Tristan White. Pretty good kid. Best advice I could give to the kids is we don't understand why, but death is a part of life, and the best thing to do is walk away from it.
