Zinc penny reads 83 where it used to be 79, was listed in the manual as 79. Other readings can be whacky too, like a dime was an 88 today where it's usually 83. It's not consistently off, but it's often enough. I ground balance, just to cross that one off the list.

Is my coil wearing out? I rely heavily on accurate numbers and am beginning to not trust my machine.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Try a factory reset?

If that does not help, have a friend with one and try his coil?

Still no help, a trip to First Texas.

I have the eurotek pro and have noticed at differnt locations I may get differnt vdi readings

I think has to do with the minerals in the dirt in that certain area. I haven't experienced everywhere but I have at a few places

Thanks for the tips! I'm still not sure if it's off but I'm still plugging away. Sometimes one begins to think its off when they don't find anything good, lol.

Thanks again for the input and I'll post if I find anything
