I am researching getting a new detector.

Has anyone had any real life experience with the Teknetics Delta 4000?

What was the deepest relic and/or coin found and what was the depth?

Have you had any problems with the model?

I am wanting to use it in wooded area and farm fields.

I am interested in hearing folks comments about the Teknetics brands, pro and con and anything about the Delta 4000.

Thanks.

Just picked up slightly used unit and was very impressed walking around my yard, very good sensitivity and depth. The pinpointing is amazingly accurate and easy to use. The best thing is that it is probably the lightest machine out there. You won't get tired swinging this all day. Good luck!

It's a great machine! Light, fast, and the learning curve is not bad at all. As far as depth goes, what I've recovered so far hasn't been very deep. It seems in my area (East TN) the coins just don't get too deep. Most silver I've found has been in the 3-5 inch range, and that dates back to the mid 1800's. I've got a test garden and the 4000 will hit a silver dime at 6 inches...and hit HARD.

Overall...I think it's like a lot of the Fishers and Bounty Hunter line...a great machine that is kinda overshadowed by the hype from its "big brothers". Try it...you'll be impressed.
