Teknetics Mark 1 Battery Modification

First I want to apologies if I'm doing something wrong, I'm not good at forums. I have a Teknetics Mark1 (the grey one) and I've seen that people have gotten ride of the double A batteries and used 9 volt instead but I don't remember where I saw this, anyone out there that could send me in the right direction to find out how to to do this? thanks much.
