Nice! Thanks for the help! Looks like its one of the brass KW types from 1913-1915...Awesome piece of vintage technology

Great work NHBenz! Just so happens I dug my first of these last evening and had no doubt it was a telegraph key.
It was within a few feet of the semi buried body of a car, now I can be pretty sure what the car was/is.
I recall reading about 'tremblor coils' they got the name from some sound or vibration they made I think,
wish I had time to research every topic that interests me, the development of early ingnition systems is interesting, I'm guessing these contacts acted as ignition points to break the circuit and produce a spark from the coil.
My recovery is like the one below, attached to wood rather than a metal base.
