Tell me about the Minelab Intrepid

I bought a Minelab Intrepid for my oldest grandson. (He is ten.) We've only gotten to use it once since I gave it to him last week and he found his first coin with it this weekend. It seems like a decent detector and you cannot beat the under $100 price tag.
