Teller tray score and weird quarter

Snagged a 2005 S clad proof out of $8 loose at my bank. Also got a couple dollars in quarters because I saw a silver rim. I was expecting it to be a canadian, but turns out it's a 2012 D Hawaiian volcanos quarter. Is it possible that it's chrome plated or something?

The only silver Hawaiian Volcano quarter I can find is 3" in diameter and 5 ounces of .999.

All they list for the regular quarter is cupro-nickel.

It's not an S mint so I was figuring it was an aftermarket plated coin.

Second that. No silver from the D mint. Could be silver or chrome plated like the OP suggested.
