Getting back into the swing of things now that the heat has subsided, mosquitos are starting to dissipate and the corn is being cut (still a long way to go for those damn soybeans). Got out at lunch today to a site I've been working for a few years just to swing off the dust. really wasn't expecting too much. Boy was I surprised.

on my last target (I give myself 10 targets to dig at lunch so I don't go over my allotted time (doesn't always work out that way)) I pulled this beauty from about 8 inches with my trusty SE. Wasn't sure what I had at first but after doing some research I believe it is a Norfolk Military Academy button. (if anyone believes different please chime in)

Wow what a great start to the season, completely stoked. :headbang:

I'll get some better pics posted when I get a chance to clean her up later tonight.

Thanks for looking and HH.

Due to this damn tnet app. I cant see your pics. But a Norfolk Military Academy button is a great find!

That's definitely a NMA button Bob - nice recovery! A hard one to find for sure (and I'm still looking for my first). Please post both sides after you get it cleaned up. Many were gilted, and I hope that's the case with yours.

Thanks Bill, I'm hoping it is, I thought I could see some poking through out in the sunlight.

No luck, in fact it isn't in the best of shape. the dirt was holding a lot of the design. :sadsmiley: I'll get some pics later, didn't have time last night

Nice one Bob i would really like to see it cleaned up:thumbsup:
