Went hiking along 10 Mile creek today. Lots of old mines in this canyon.

Oooh, oooh! I have been there! Peak 9 brother.

I tried to look in the gate, but it was hard to see any thing. You can feel the cold air stream through the steel bars.

Maggie and I went hiking up in those parts

Colorful country, i would like to get under the water dropoff with a wet suit & Gold pan. :P

Not right there, Fossis, more of a silver producing area, and molybdenum at the head of the creek. I know a couple of guys that panned Ten Mile from Fremont Pass on down and did find a few flakes, but nothin to write home about. However, we do have Clear Creek, Blue River, and the Arkansas River within a short drive. Proven producers, just not for me yet.
