Found this in yard and trying to find details online yield nothing but coca cola. I don't think it's one though...? Seems like local cola from early 1900s? Thanks for any help. It was not coca cola. It was in fact Tenn Cola, founded in 1915 when the Tennessee Cola Co was founded in Knoxville.

Awesome. Thanks. So 1915-1930s probably? Just trying to figure out age. Since my home was built in 1930, trying to figure out how it got here.

Looks to me like an early crown top, 1915-1920, but I could be wrong.

the ground was there before the home was built

Your bottle was made some time after 1917 when Tenn Cola lost a court battle with Coca Cola. Tenn Cola was in script up to that point and Coca Cola took them to court over it stating they were trying to imitate the Coca Cola logo and deceive the consumer. At the time Tenn Cola was in financial trouble and could not afford to hire an attorney to represent them. The court ruled in favor of Coca Cola

Very interesting I never knew this. Love this site

Amazing how Coke went after these smaller companies. Very smart but very aggressive.

hey nice find, I collect coke bottles and I thought its cool how coke took them to cort and was wondering if youd be interested in selling or trading for some of the bottle I have.

Wild that bottles were still being hand blown that long after the Owens ABM was invented.

It's amazing what some of the predecessor bottles to Coke go for. That's a nice bottle Decdad, are you from Tennessee?

Wouldn't call that hand blown. It's blown in mold.
