Josh and I returned to the newly discovered U.S. Picket Camp site. Doug couldn’t make it today. The bullets have mostly been .54 cal. 3 ringers so far. There were WW2 maneuvers in the site as well. We feel this is a picket camp since no cooking related relics have been recovered that we normally find in full use camps. I made 2 solo trips to the camp on Thursday & Friday as shown by the relics in the first 2 pics. I dug the carved “Honeycomb” bullet on 2-13. My total finds from this week (minus the rosette & 3 of the .69 cal. 3 ringers that I dug on a nearby farm last spring) are shown on the red background. The last pic is of our finds on the Modern Miner Relic Rag from our 3 hour afternoon hunt today. Josh dug 3 eagle buttons & my best find was the brass scabbard tip. HH from Josh & Quindy & enjoy the video that is dedicated to Thrillatahunt as he enjoys our adventures.
