Mid-Late 1800's farm house property, got permission a few months ago, but ground froze before I could detect it. Been waiting all winter to get out there. Very first target was a rough 1865 IHP. Got another couple indians, one really nice and a rough 1838 large cent. When working an area riddled with big fat square nails, like they were dumped there, got a sharp tone in the 30's, suspected a big piece of iron or tin (nox 800). Turned out to be a monster bell, compared to most crotal bells i've found and seen. Marked "No 12", looks to be like 2.5"-3", tennis ball sized. Cleaned it up just a little with CLR. It even sounds pretty good still...

That bell is awesome! The site was definitely worth waiting for

Love the crotal bell and other relics, congrats! :occasion14:

Hope I do as well on mine. The crotal is a beauty and rare as hens teeth in that condition and in one piece. Really nice digs!

Awesome bell. Found my first this year. Mines a No 2 in great condition.

Rc, Congrat's on some nice finds. I really like the bell too. All good finds.

man I am jealous of that bell, i love finding bells. never have I seen a crotal so big and in such great condition

Now that is a Bell!

Yep, I'd go back! Grats on the cool finds.

Love that bell. That’s a beauty. The 1864 IHP is in great shape too. Congrats

Hard to find those in one piece

Fantastic find with that bell. Plus lot of other pieces of history. How long did you hunt to find all that stuff? Looks like a lot of digging.
