Compadre is all you need in the dry sand.:occasion14:

How will the Tejon do?

Is that good?

The Tejon would probably be deeper.
Definitely be deeper.
My first gold ring I ever found was teeny tiny, weighed very little and was definitely past 10" in the dry sand, actually closer to 12", and found with my Vaq.
My 7" Compadre couldn't touch that depth.

Well Navarre beach was silent. They replenished the beach about a year ago and it was silent. Worst hunt finds wise ever for me. 30 minutes in between signals. I found a 1965 quarter and was excited to find a pull tab. Depth with the Tejon was ok, It would not ground balance and it hated the wet sand like Terry S stated.
