All I can say is WOOOOOOOOOOW, what a freakin day :blob5:

Went back to my new honeyhole today & scored big :occasion14:

The spot I've been hitting is getting VERY sparse, I'm pulling up a TON of wheats, but, almost no silver. I pulled a lot out already, but, I know there's more hiding there. Just have to work reeeeally hard for it. Like today...

Three to maybe three and a half hours into my hunt, no silver whatsoever. So, finally decided to change gameplans & go off into the adjoining woods. I never hit the woods at this spot, but, I KNEW there was going to be some keepers. Just intuition. That and this place is ooooooooooooold. So the odds were on my side.

Maybe 10 minutes after getting into the woods, I got a really nice signal on the CZ. It turned out to be 2 mercs in one hole. Things were looking up :headbang: Next I scored what I thought was a button, but, thinking now it might be a bridal rosette - there's a threaded screw on the back. It is initialed and is a gorgeous piece. Chime in if you know what it is. Then things got quiet all over again, so, I moved yet again to another patch of woods. And then...

About 5 minutes after settling into the new spot, I was searching by a rock & got a really nice hit - soft, faint, repeatable :laughing7: Dug a plug and saw wheat stalks on a silver coin lying in the hole. Thought I rescued a barber, but, even better...

Seated dime!!! :wav: My second in under two months :blob8:

In between all of the running around & excitement, I also snagged a nice old womens button, a die charm (looks fake - have to test it), a indian head penny, 2 buffs & a lot of wheaties.

I'll be hitting this place HARD again tomorrow. Think it's shaping up to be a GREAT 4th of July holiday :icon_sunny:

Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend. Be safe :icon_thumright:

Great finds! Looks like you have a good spot!

4th picture down (which is upside down, by the way) is a WW1 era collar disc for the USNA, which is to say United States National Army. If I am correct, we had the Army, then the National Guard, then the USNA. From what I've read, the USNA was disbanded in 1920.

Good eye jeweler :icon_thumright: Know I know why you're, well, a jeweler :laughing7: Didn't need a loupe for that, huh? :tongue3: You happen to be 110% correct. Just got I.D.'d over on the what's it section

WOW Great finds :headbang: :headbang:

Grats on the seated. I love the IH too. I have an unhealthy thing for the coppers.
