Tesoro Vaquero sweet spot?

I recently purchased a Vaquero and am having a hard time finding the "sweet spot" on the coil. When I get a strong signal, after pinpointing I'm usually off by maybe an inch or so. I've tested the sweet spot with my own test garden, even with my own coins on the ground, but am still not quite certain where this spot is. Can anyone who knows about this tell me where it is?!?

Hi, Are you using the standard coil? If so, on my Cibola it is dead center in the hole of the coil. I am amazed how sharp my machine pinpoints.
If you move the coil slowly it will actually blip-blip when you cris cross the very center. Your Vaquero should do the same.

wrap some red electrical tape at the point (on the coil)when you find dead center ,then yu will be on the money!!!

Yes I am using the standard coil. I'll keep in mind the center of the middle hole. Thanks alot!
