Tesoro warranty has changed?

Yep, I have had a few used ones that i had to send to them and they repaired them for me at no charge except for my shipping charge to them. And they knew i was not the original owner as i told them up front.

I had a used Tejon that I bought sight unseen and needed to be completely rewired and have a new switch installed. They just charged me $20 for bench time and return shipping.

This is the same warranty that they have always had but they would repair any ones for free usually. If you read the warranties for all the manufactures it covers defects in workmanship and not misuse or wear and tear. It is still the only maker that has a Lifetime Warranty.

Tesoro, like Garrett and some others have great customer service. Are they required to fix something for a second or even third owner? No, but they take care of their customers!

ThTx, Please,, Tesoro has been the leader by 20-25 years in having the very best Warranty(LIFETIME) and Service. That puts them in a class all by themselves and it is just a bit misleading to credit any other MD Cos' alongside, or seemingly out front of Tesoro with anything more than the last few years of having such, because it just is not so.Only recently has any/some of the other Companys, Garrett in particular, taken their customers and products into consideration as Tesoro has since their very beginning. Been there and seen it,as have many others, and that ain't no BS, and that should tell us all something about Tesoro. and theiir product. HH Cass

Tesoro is the only one of the detector manufacturers that stands behind their products 100% for LIFE.

I sent my bandido 2 umax in and rusty there fixed it for free , He even sent some futher instructions that you cant find on the web ,, As fars as im concerned ill stay with tesoro forever because like sandman says they take care of their customers and i believe it too ,,
THANKS TESORO !

Yes .........For service you can't beat Tesoro............And Garrett is second in line for good service.......... Now Fisher and Minelab there service stinks and right now i think Minelab is the worse one for service................... But those blind Minelab followers keep makeing all kinds of excuses for them...........They are like the Jim Jones followers that drank the kool aid.................

i have no idea, i did buy a tiger shark off one guy and just to be safe i asked tesoro for o ring size and silicone for the machine and where to buy it.. they were great they sent me new orings and the silicone grease with no questions or postage. i love tesoro customer service. there just #1 in my book on takeing care of there own

I have a Tiger Shark story too. I bought a used one off of Kijiji. It seemed okay when I looked at it, but once I got it home I found it had some major issues (max. depth in all metal of about 2 or 3 inches). Anyway, I sent it in and Rusty retuned the coil and recalibrate it. I got it back with a nice letter from Rusty, and I noticed that one side of the headphones would cut out most of the time. I e-mailed Rusty and he said to send it back, and that he would put new headphones on. He was very apologetic and said he would watch for it and expedite the repair.

Remember, I bought it used. I made sure I was very clear about that. So not only are they taking care of these issues, but they are making it a priority. That's the kind of service that make customers for life. From now on, I'm buying my Tesoros new. It's time to support the company that is bending over backwards to satisfy their customers, even customers that were too cheap to buy new. ;D

My wife, right before Christmas, called Tesoro to ask where she could purchase a Tesoro cap and T-shirt for me. she told me that the lady she spoke with at Tesoro was one of the nicest, polite, helpful people she had ever done business with over a telephone. she was amazed that she talked right away with a human, didn't have to push 50 different buttons or listen to recordings. The lady gave her more info. than she needed. I haven't had to send my detectors to them yet but if ever I do, I am confident they will take care of me.

I use to be a Fisher man until my last detector said assembled in Taiwan that's when I switched to Tesoro where they are American made and assembled! Keep America Working!!!

From a guy who just bought his Tesoro after Christmas, these comments are music to my ears! So many times you buy something and then find out its crap. I love my Tesoro Silver Umax already!

We have only had to send one of our Lobos in once after the puppy chewed the wires into the head. They fixed it, for free, and sent us a Tesoro
pouch and a detector bag to put it in (to protect it from the puppy ;D)

They have, without a doubt, the greatest customer service.

And, like someone said, Garret is no slouch either.
