Testing out metal detector app

Has anyone used the metal detecting phone app? I have the app on my LG android now. I'm going to use it as my back up pinpointer.... Maybe I'll find silver? Now my phone has become a part of my aresnal!!! Ha ha ha!!

Ok, so I suppose it runs off of my Magnetometer (compass) on my LG android. It's able to only detect magnetic items like iron within an inch or so. It has settings for sounds it can make at set detection numbers. However, it can find the edge of the metal flashing on door frames and some nails in the wall to locate studs for hanging pictures! It can tell if metal is iron. It has uses! I have a new tool, that's pretty cool!
