Nice holey rock, you can make a few bucks on that stuff selling to cichlid keepers (check the pet supplies on ebay)
 

Neogeo, I agree with you whole heartedly, I left Baltimore 35 years ago - I go back for a visit every couple of years but would never think of giving up the desert for conceret.
 

Heres todays walk I also took my dog Calypso.
This holes a big one,it had to be a big critter or it was part of a nest of sorts.

Wild grapes....yummmmm...Slim pickins this year tho...My wife makes jelly and such when we can get a good harvest.

This is a Antlion den,they are Larval Dragonfly's of some sort.

It's tough to see but these guy's have some mean Mandables....Also they were in Star Trek Wrath Of Kahn....(the lil bug they were putting in folks ears..)
 

When you said Texas beauty I was thinking more along the line of Dallas cheerleaders.... But this is good, too.. :thumbsup:

That larva is cool looking.
