I found the first 2 bones on the Pedernales River, Texas this past weekend.

The black bone is sloths First Phalanx. The 3rd bone on the 3rd claw.

I also found what looks like maybe a small weathered sloth claw core in the same area.

I found a big 3.75 (broken tip) sloth claw core on the Brazos River, Texas in 2001. It set me on a quest. I figured, if I found a big sloth claw, the rest of big sloth is around here someplace and I learned scattered across Texas too.

I later found a large/heavy Sloth Medial Phalanx on the Brazos river in 2006.

I hope to find more pieces of sloth.

Happy hunting.......

I also found what looks like a weathered baby sloth claw core on the Brazos river.
