I found these beauties on a hillside right off of a wagon road used by both sides to travel between Arkansas and Missouri during the Civil War. I believe the large three ringer to be a .69 caliber and the smaller round projectile (with a sprue mark?) to be a .36 caliber ball. They were literally three feet apart. I am stoked, this is my second large caliber American Civil War bullet, the first being a .58 caliber that I found about 100 yards away. Did both sides use the .69 caliber rifle during the civil war? Big or small, I would'nt want to have been hit by either one. Thanks for looking. Sub 8-)
