Strike - Hey... write how you write, just understand that it's distracting and hard to read...

I would lay down money that 99 percent of the posts here have misspelling and screwed up punctuation.

Do you all, like I do, live in a glass house?

Us detectists can be a picky lot sometimes...

Well, Heavens to Betsy....spelling may be my pet peeve, but not so that I have to make fun or put someone done for lack of it....

Heck, I live with the worse speller in all the world...yes I do...you don't ever see him making any posts, do you? LMAO!!!!!!!!!

Besides, I thought this thread was about "Who makes the best detectorist?"

Well, that would be each one of us, with our own techniques, our own styles, understanding our own machines and what our interests are. I'm not a Civil War buff, but I love seeing what others find. Gold is pretty and so are the rings and such others find....and yes, I would love to find them too, but any find is awesome to me....yes, even the pull tabs!!! LOL

I do not see any typos in any of these posts. They are all strangely PERFECT.

Sorry if I offended you or anyone else Strike it Rich. Just seems like a pointless post to me. At least my response put the thread into high gear, although none of the replies now seem to be about who the best detectists are. Now that I go back and read my post I agree it does sound a little personal. Once again, I apologize. I realize nobody is perfect, including me, so I should not have replied to this post.

Hypocrisy doesn't come into it Dimeman. To throw insults about intelligence I mean come on all you have to do is press the spell check button . So everyone that makes spelling mistakes or spells Copper as Coppa or Silver as Wilver is lacking in Intelligence I don't think so whoops don't forget the full stop,comma, or any other particular piece of punctuation. It's a hanging offence to certain folks.

We are all lacking somewhat in perfect spelling and punctuation skills. even using a spell checker can miss a lot of words posted on this forum.


I'm just suggesting, on where you say "Oh and find something better to do with your days...." part of your post. In the fact, that you yourself have stated most of your posts are about "cr@p" and "bullshi*" subjects, but you have lots of time to post these kind of threads....some might say YOU have nothing better to do.(On this metal detecting forum--about metal detecting, you have posted your finds...how many times?)
