I have lurked and read multiple posts about the Silver umax from all the great minds on this board. You all convinced me it was a good fit for me (new detectorist, mostly coins, jewelry, etc). On a whim I called Gettysburg Electronics and asked about any used detectors, well glory be they had a used umax. The kids and I went up and bought it on Saturday. I got it at a fair price and felt well treated by the owner, Don Hinks.

I have messed with it a little in the backyard and practiced my lawn plugging and pinpointing. The boys cant keep their hands off it and I have to keep reminding them it is MY toy. Thanks again for all the great information and advice, even though you didnt know you were giving it to me.

I want some silver so bad I can taste it!
