Went home for Thanksgiving and stayed a couple extra days visiting.
Friday I decided to check out the local banks again, last checked a few months ago.
I wasn't really expecting much and figured I might buy a few bags of various denominations just as a sample.
Bank #1:
Cashed in around $250 in nickels and pennies.
Bought the half dollar bag off the coin machine ($379.50). Quite a variety, low numbers.
1 Franklin (1963-D)
1 - 90% Kennedy (1964-D)
1 - 40% Kennedy (1969-D)
1 Special Mint Kennedy (1987-P)
1 Proof Kennedy (1989-S)
2 Canadian 2-Dollar (1996, 2002)
Bank #2:
... vault teller is out to lunch come back later...okay..
Bank #3:
They let me look at the $30 in the coin machine to exchange if there was anything I wanted....skunk.
Bank #4:
$371 half dollar bag off the coin machine.
8 - 40% Kennedy (1967(5), 1969-D(3))
1 Canadian 2-Dollar (1996)
2 Quarters
1 penny
Bank #5:
$270 in loose halves (hand-rolled from their coin machine)
1 - 90% Kennedy (1964-D)
4 - 40% Kennedy (1966, 1967(3))
Went home had lunch and looked through what I had for halves.
After lunch, I cashed in the rejects at another bank.
Went bank to Bank #2
$200 in hand rolled halves off their coin machine.
2 - $50 bags of pennies.
The $200 in halves
1 - 40% Kennedy (1966)
2 Special Mint Kennedy (2003-P, 2003-D)
2 Foreign (Mexico, 1 Peso (1975), Mexico, 500 Pesos (1987))
Penny bag #1
Saw a few wheat together near the top of the one bag, so I decided to open it rather than wait until I got back home. Needless to say I pulled out 30 wheat pennies before I got a memorial. My son helped for a while, we were pulling out 15-20 wheat pennies per handful from the bag. Ended up with 659 wheaties, I haven't had a chance to list them yet. Be a couple of days as I take off to Chicago in about 5 hours for a couple of days on a business trip.
Penny bag #2
After seeing the success of the first bag I couldn't resist the second bag sitting there, I think there were around 15 wheat pennies in there (one was a 1932-D). I will update this later as well.
Due to the success of the penny bags, I went back and topped off the nickel bag and bought that this morning before heading home. Have to search that bag when I get home.
I had also searched a penny bag from a different thread and found 20 wheaties which brought my wheat total for the weekend to around 700.
