Had to walk the turkey off.
I hunted a cattle pasture in south central Missouri, and found a new Civil war Campsite. No one has ever hunted it before. All the items were found in less than 2 hours hunting.
Needless to say I have found a great new hunting area.

Welcome to the forum, Bobberdown... looks like you definitely "got the lead out" after the big Thanksgiving feast! Can't wait to see what else you find at that new site.

Another fair day at the camp.
A friend and I went back to the CW Camp we found last week. We found these items. One broken spur and a button, pocket watch, horse head off a toy, were among today's finds.
Would some one let me know what the button is?

Also I found an iodine dispenser from a med kit. (located on the white area next to the button first photo.)
Big freeze coming so no more until spring.

Nice finds!!

The brass piece towards the upper left looks to be a piece of an early trigger guard? Can't see it good enough to be sure. The piece in the lower left that looks like a lock hasp, if it is brass it is the back part to a shoulder eppalette, I would hit that spot again with the first thaw for sure! Good luck!!
