Thatcher's dairy milk bottle

Hello all I got this in a box of misc stuff at an auction. It has some embossed writting on one side and a guy milking a cow on the other. It also has a porcelain and wire stopper. Any info would be great I used a stock pic as my camera is on the blink. Thank you !

Re: Thatcher's dairy milk bottle

Hey Ace, Nice bottles there. Unfortunately though these types are often counterfitted. Made in Japan and such places. Thatchers is one of (disputed) first milk bottle producers in the United States. Potsdam New York to be exact. I have one that dates to 1886 with the patented glass top. Price range is anywhere from $300plus. The ones that you have are nice, dont get me wrong but they are hard to sell. Google Thatchers Milk Protector and you wil see what I mean. Hope that helps. jgas
