Primary Interest:
Beach & Shallow Water Hunting
It was well over 5 years I have not gone to a beach in the far side of the island. It takes a little over 2 hours to get there taking a few toll highway stops. My uncle and aunt was compasionate with me and were going to stay in the round type cabin he owned in between other owned or rented cabins. We arrived late at 6 p.m. we huredly unpacked uncles van for our 2 day stay. I knew my in my veins were running pure adrenaline and I was inpatient for the next day to arrive.Sleep was uneasy that night and before you knew it, I automatically awoke at 6:30 I rushed and prepaired my eqiupment ate my breakfast and hit the road towards the beach.By the time I got to the little town and looked for the small passage that led to the beach.By now it was 7:30 and mounted with my 5000D S2 coinmaster the adventure of a lifetime I will never forget. I scanned with might the coins were poping from left and right, the production was mounting by the time I quit for lunch break. My hands were red from the gripping hard the handle the funny thing the pain didn't exsist. An hour latter I resumed my hunt a repetition of the morning hunt by the time I quit at 5 p.m. I had such a buldge in my coin aprone I had to carry it in my duffle bag. upon arrival at the cabin I emptyed the aprone on the table by the time I counted the finds I totaled a grand total of $38 in clad coins(3 rolles of quarters I rolled up).The only thing I regret about this magical hunt is that my uncle sold the cabin and my opertunity to return was slaughtered.I am building stratergys to return some how and I want the magic of 1 of my lucky 5 units to make me dance with joy in the"coin estravaganza".Ralph C.

These are the ones we remember the most, the ones we might never get back to hunt. I hope you weren't discriminating out pull tabs.........

oh you have to get back out there lizard.

If I found a beach that produced like the one you described in you post, I would drive there and sleep in my car if I had to. :icon_jokercolor:

Just think of all the goodies that you did not find.

I appreciate your good intentions Ray that is my problem I can't drive,I have no lisence I am scared to drive and to top it off I am a motor coordinated handycap person(hand tremor). I can't touch a motor vehicle and to ask someone with me I have to pay expenses. So I just pray and wait for that moment to come. :(

In fact sandman I picked up a bread bag full of aluminum screw caps to discard in the trash I had my dial set at 5½ in disc. but after a while of struggling with the dreeded tabs I pulled in 7 on my dial.Yes now on my return I plan to go for those nickles with my DFX on coins mode since now I recycle those pain in the neck new tabs as well for the screwcaps.

The problem with disc'ing out the pulltabs, is that you also disc out the GOLD. Such a price to pay, but if you find that many coins, THERE IS GOLD there ......just MHO Gayle

Hi LP,
Did not know you didn't drive. May be one day you will get back there. Might be someone in your area that would be willing to take you just for the opportunity to hunt the beach with you. Never hurts to ask. Your beach is a great bartering tool.

Ray I come back at your recent answer to my post, and all I got to say somebody up in the heaven must love me so much.My prayers and probably those of you members of this forum for God to give me that magical day.It is starting to take form, I met up with a unversity class mate taking my same computer class and in some odd way has become in this 4 months getting to know ourselfs has turned out to be a sea diver when he was younger. And not fat like now he loves my hobby and has shown great interest in trying it out just yesterday he told me he travels the whole island when I lauched him the preposition of this subject of the post.He said after the 13th of Dicember when the university mess is over we can give it a shot if he can get his wife to lend him the car by then.Yes!YES! :icon_cheers: I feel it coming and if it does I will bring my computer camera you will be the first to see the major treasure trove of the new titled post Of "the beach I will never forget" I need some inspiration on this maybe I will get it after the mighty beach assult I will give it that magical day.I will bring 3 detectors that day I have decided for my sea hunter Mark 2,DFX and GTI 2500.WE WILL SHOW "NO MERCY" :evil4: :evil6: Nah! not really evil but "Holy smokes" Thanks Ray and all for helping be optemistic all this time.Ralph C.

Well the Lord moves in mysterious ways... the fact is I never could do any thing J.Torres to make my beach dream trip a reality. He is not only a big fat dude he has a few complication with his health and a sick guy with abnea problems and his trasportation car is riquity raquety. So I had a down fall with my trip and all seem lost until a few days back, God presented to me a client who ordered me a prizm 4 a now student in my care to learn the in's and out's of our wonderfull hobby. His name is Alfredo a cool dude in his 60's an adventurer at heart like me who has a decent well condition car and a willing prospect in traveling the island as a sales man. We allready went to Isla Verde beach to try out the hobby with 3 of my 5 machines he fell in love with the DFX and the eclipse 5.3 coil and praised on how easy it identified each coin.He is hooked.... I lauched him the preposition on the special beach in the island I will call beach X and all he said is O.K. lets go for it on satuday I do bealeave mom is tagging along. Can this be the sign I was waiting for? My mind runs at 100 m.p.h on what awaits for us at beach x he holds on to the less than $1 he pulled out from our first trip we made last saturday to isla verde with expectation and happyness. At least he has proof to show his wife it is a magical hobby for those with good luck and positive frame of mind, she will get bit by the bug soon too I hope.
