The beach this weekend whooped me good

Two days, two states, four different beaches.

One dime, one nickel, two cents.

Fairly substantial gasoline bill. Oh well, can't hit it all the time.

That is pretty much my luck on a beach. I don't keep track of the gas. Just like I don't keep track of bait, gas, ramp passes and fishing tackle when I'm fishing (I can't be putting a price per pound on those Striped Bass)

Never keep track of gas. That is like winning 10.00 on the lottery but keeping track of all the losers you bought! NO NO NO.

Been there, done that. If I MD'd for a living, within a month my weight would be down in the range my doctor keeps recommending (never gonna happen!) I always chuckle when I'm approached by some curious on-looker who asks "Make a lot of money doin' that?" and I say "Yeah... a lot for the MD dealers, gas stations, etc." If I tallied up the money spent versus the amount recovered, I'd probably start going to the casino! BUT... Being outdoors, enjoying the solitude and always dreaming what might be under the next sweep of the coil, well that is priceless to me.
