The Black Hawks returned the other day... they come here to nest from C & S America. Two were circling above the house calling, was pretty nice to see it. These Hawks are more "bulky" as you can tell by the "beer belly" picture...lol Reports are that many have gone missing from their usually nesting sites, so they're becoming more rare here.

IMG_4045.webp IMG_4055.webp...thought they were buzzards at first.

IMG_4121.webp...this one was slightly lighter colored, think it's the female.

..."beer belly"....IMG_5145.webp...:laughing7:...thanks everyone!

Nice photographs! Thanks for sharing...

Hawks always seen to be hungry. They are beautiful when they are high flying and gliding searching for a target.

They look intimidating! Have you been able to witness as to what they feed on?

Thank you everyone

worldtalker.....:)

tamrock....thanks...in North America, they're only found in the south/southwest parts & only in nesting season.

Yes, it sure looks like it worldtalker. I've never found any remains like that here, guess we've got faster squirrels or slower hawks. :laughing7:
