The Cell Phone & Texting Craze

Why is it so addicting, and so difficult for people to use responsibly? I wasn't kidding when I made the statement earlier in a different thread that I even see people riding bicycles in traffic trying to text. I don't understand the craze or the craziness.

"Obsession".....that's the word I was looking for. Why are some people so obsessed with their cell phone?
