I was digging through an old bottle dump today and found this extremely old water pump! It is solid brass. From the 3rd picture it looks like an error occurred with the lettering. I don't know if it should look like that. The second thing was a brass fire extinguisher . Sorry for the bad pictures:( If anyone has info I will greatly appreciate it, thank you and keep diggin!

Hello metaldetecta,
That is a very interesting find, and a nice big chunk of brass. Have you figured out how it worked? Is that a piston rod showing on the top of the pump body? It might be a part from an old steam powered fire engine from many years ago? Nice find!

I am not quite sure if it has a piston. All I can tell is that it has some iron balls in the inside of it. There has to be some kind of mechanism inside of it to make it work, thanks for the feedback.
 

Did you did these? Very cool finds regardless.....
 

No both were surface finds. I will return tomorrow and post anything cool I find.
