The days Civil War digs. Help needed!

A few hours out today, found some nice shell fragments, the tip of a bayonet scabbard, a cannister shot (second one from this site), a few bullets (note the 3-ringer that was laying exposed), and two unidentified items. The brass thingy is really stumping me, any thoughts? Also, the iron object is stumping me as well. Any help would be appreciated guys!
