The E-Trac Found a Big Honker Ring! Update!

This was my very first signal located on a grass field, and only having 5 old trees on it. This was my first signal on the E-Trac for my dig today. What a bonus! It came in at 12: 24 just above a pull tab reading. Boy did I like this one! Yes! Down about three inches or so. This ring looks old and Im not sure what stone it is, along with some small looking diamonds. Im not sure if its real, but after looking at the setting, the stone is locked up tight! Old Amethyst Cant find any markings yet, I will have to wait until I get home. I will take it to a jeweler for further investigation. I know old houses used to be their. Nevertheless, it's nice to post this new find with the E-Trac. Great machine! Stay Tuned, Marvin.

That is one honker and it sure looks real to me and yes it's an old setting. Congrats

I don't think the cut on that amethyst is "all that old". It is a criss-cross cut version of a checkerboard cut, and they came out about 10 years or so ago. I have purchased a lot of them, and that cut was quite the rage for a while. But it looks to be a good stone, and hopefully they put the good stone in a good ring.

Well I took the ring to the jeweler today. It's just glass. Oh well. It's not about having the rings, its about finding the rings. Im sure I will find a good one soon. Peace!
