I picked up my youngest girl early this morning at the airport and she being now from Texas now wanted to see the aspen turn, so we took this little loop up from Boulder county to the old 1859 mining town of Gold Hill and then a little west on what's called the Peak to Peak highway to drop back down to the flats through another old mining town of Jamestown first settled in 1876. It's a very nice little loop with much of it dirt roads and not near the traffic as the main road have in the high country. Tomorrow I may take a little tour along the local creek as the Cottonwood trees are beginning change color down here now. Won't be long before the cold winds come and blow all this color away.

Nothing like the smell of aspens in the rain and the sound of the leaves
in the wind. I have about a 26 mile trip up General Hitchcock Highway
to experience that. I regret not getting to a camping spot in the aspens
this year.

Great photo's
Thank you

Beautiful country and colors you have there!
