The Farm keeps giving.

Hi all:

I haven't been to my "original farm" in quite some time. I ran into the home owner Sat. night at church and decided to pay him a call Sunday afternoon. (I had homemade cookies put away for him and I had some free time.) He wasn't home so I had plenty of time to dig. My first signal was a Wheat penny so that seemed a good omen for my hunt. Since the owner was gone I hit the small yard area between the house and garage. I pulled two more Wheaties and a 1940 nickel. Near the garage I got a decent signal and I was happy to see the shininess of a silver dime in my dirt pile. OK, I have to swallow my pride and admit that in two years of MDing (minus some long winters!) I haven't yet found a Merc. Today was the day! I sure was happy to finally pull one out of the ground. Final totals: '42 Merc, '40 nickel, '20, '36, and '52 Wheats.

Earlier in the day I also took the kids to a tot lot and found some clad and a nice hoop earring.....too bad my ears aren't pierced.

Anne, Good to see someone is still getting out, awful quiet on here. Good going on the silver! I have not found any this year. All my woods sites are knee high with weeds and mosquitoes the size of humming birds.
